Maxton Design Bodykit for X7

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com

I'm seriously interested in the full body kit for my X7 which is shown on the above link.
I'm able to get it installed new at a relatively inexpensive price, however wanted to know if anyone on this forum has had it on their vehicle and what they thought of the quality?
What do you guys generally think
Cheers for the feedback.

I just installed their gloss black kit on my rs6. Fitment was great and you can't beat the price.

i’ve been waiting for this. Why is v1 of the front splitter more expensive?

Would love to see pictures installed and which version is generally preferred?

The V1 is a double front splitter and the V2 and V3 are single front splitters.
I'm thinking of going for the V1 as there is only a £20 increase.

I have it sitting in my garage right now since I've been too busy/lazy to install it. I may have to just ask around for a shop to do it so I can get it off my shelves haha

What’s the quality like?
I’ve been quoted £160 for installation for the 5 pieces and they are Maxton stockists.

No they will go with any colour vehicle - I have Phytonic blue and would look at gloss black to match the M sport trim.
You can also get carbon finish (more expensive) or Matt black for spraying you preferred colour.

fit looks great, build is... well.. it's an ABS lip, but it showed up covered in protective film and the finish looks just fine. I have no complaints so far, just looking at it out of the box. This tracks with what the x5 folks have been saying as well. The only thing lacking is instructions--and that doesn't seem to be a problem if you're lining up a shop to do this.

Looks like the kits come with mounting bolts. I don’t think I’d trust a tape only install on the highway.

I'm also ready to press the button this week!
As a matter of interest do you mind me asking how much you paid in the US?
Are you installing it yourself?
Look forward to seeing some pictures soon.

I have the full kit on my m sport x5 and fitment was perfect. You can install it yourself with double sided tape and using the supplied nuts and bolts. My brother and I completed the install in about an hour. Also, you can't beat the price.

Got any photos????

Did you have to drill any holes into the car for the bolt fittings?

Also does it impinge onto the mounting points for the jack if I wanted to change a tyre?

Install is not difficult just take your time, check fitment, wipe surfaces clean, lay down your tape, place on car, and then drill.

I like it AlpineG05 - not in your face but a subtle aggressive face lift.
Do the side skirts obstruct to underneath welcome lights (so not sure what they are called?) that project onto the floor?
Also are the lifting points to jack up the car clear of the side skirts?
