Not with normal seat operation, which for 3rd row is all 1-touch, fully up or fully down. You'd have to electrically interrupt the seat movement process.

Naturally, we're all curious why you'd want to do this?

So you can lay in the back reclined with the tailgate down?

My dog is amstaff and I am affraid he will destroy the 2nd row armrests, but if I could stop the 3rd row seats little bit earlier, perhaps there will be enough space for him to fit in. We go for a walk in the woods every day, but it's not far, let's say 10 miles from home. We'll see, I'll give it a try as soon as I have the car. I called BMW USA to ask about current status, but I was told they don't give any info to customers outside north america..
