Dynamic handling package not showing on my build list suddenly?
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com It was showing dynamic handling package in this list when I checked Tuesday....but now I don't see it listed there anymore. How accurate is this list and should I followup on this? I do still see the M sport brakes with blue calipers if I click the down arrow to the right of "added options".

I had an order in with the dynamic handling and was informed it was deleted from my build. That was the last straw for me. Going to wait this out before ordering again.

It's a lease.....hardly a deal breaker. It would be different if it were the M sport or executive not available.

Integral Active Steering was bumped from my build too. Super sad...I really wanted it.

I ordered my X7 on 4/23 and despite no changes to my order, kept having my build pushed back. One of the only reasons I ordered vs. buying something from the lot was having DHP and now it got dropped from my build. I'm super frustrated with the process because I have passed on cars that are close but not what I wanted in the interim.
I spoke with my CA and he said that sometimes they can reshuffle parts from different builds that are ongoing and that if there is a dealer build that isn't sold, they may remove the feature from that. That being said, I don't have much faith that I will get my X7 optioned the way I want. If I give up my production spot, I'm pretty sure I'll get pushed back to a 22. The logistics and lack of communication from the factories and the dealership is infuriating. Seriously debating just leasing something for half as much and figuring out what I want based on where things are in 3 years. |

I dont' want to minimize peoples' experiences or personal situations. If you need the car now, get the car. But I know if I were buying my X7 now, instead of having done it 4 months ago, I would now wait until MY2023 for all this silliness to (hopefully) settle down.

That's my plan. Wait it out. I don't want to be kicking myself down the road because I couldn't be patient for a few months (fingers crossed). Even if it stretches into the next model, I'll hold.

It is removed from the US build site entirely for all X5, and X7 models. I didn't check the X6. If it is something you want, waiting is the best option right now, if you are able to.

no, has nothing to do with trim. you just barely made the cut. cars ordered around may 4th or later started losing DHP and IAS. if you would have waited out that weekend to order you would not have had it.

I ordered 4/23 for a 40i and lost it. my understanding is that m50s did get precedence for it.

Yeah I noticed on the M50’s it’s no longer an option. I guess I got lucky.

So are we thinking that the dynamic handling package option has been deleted because of a lack of interest from buyers (not enough people / dealers ordering it, so why keep the parts in stock), or is it a parts supply chain issue as a leftover from COVID, etc.?
