You still got 4 days, so these still plenty of time. Good luck.
Thanks for the insight. Much appreciated.

Cominginhot - Update: So after nine days from having moved to the third dot, my build is still at the third dot. I am now told that my build will be complete by 6/30, so earlier than July 5 but you would never know it by the dots. A build only takes a few days so maybe it still gets done early. fingers crossed!

It takes a few days (weeks) to move from the 3rd dot to the 4th, but once it does, it'll jump through the next several dots within 1 to 2 days.

Anyone know if Spartansburg is up and running today? Or do they start up again tomorrow?

Not sure if I understand the repetitive inquiries on Spartanburg plant operations running and not running. If I recall didn't you receive a production week?

I recommend calling BMW Genius or your CA that's what the majority of the members due while waiting for their vehicles to be built.

There are forum members who do work at the plants but will rarely comment on daily plant operations.

So, I don't think the dots are completely accurate right now, since I doubt they did the entire car, paint and all, in a few hours.
Wow you have good patience, that's a long time to wait! Glad you're nearly home
My July 30 build just went to Dot 3. Looks like things are speeding up.
Nice!!! Hopefully my July 30 will move to dot 3 too today!
My order just moved to dot 3 (Production Begins) on 6/24. I ordered 6/9. Moved to dot 2 (Scheduled for Production) on 6/10. Now my conformed production date is 7/10 (week 28). Originally was week 30. I did confirm with BMW customer relations (who checked with BMW Genius) that my car will have the Apple Car Key feature. Or at least it will be Apple Car Key ready. He confirmed that the vehicle will have all the necessary hardware. It would be a matter of a vehicle software update (if needed) to have it be fully functional. He did say that it really all depends on Apple when they release the feature. But the car can support. He also made it sound that previous X7s are hardware ready and might just need a software update. I suggest we all wait till Apple releases iOS 13.6 to test the functionality on our X7s. He did also confirm that updates are pushed OTA in batches by VIN and the dealer should be able to update the software for free if requested.

Hopefully everyone's order gets moved up soon and we all get our X7s in July.
Wow, good news Well I know we ordered just a day apart or something close to that so let's see how long mine will take to move a dot given the color etc.

I've been ignoring it as best I can. I only check it once a day
ComingInHot, any movement on your X7 order?

Congrats. Getting closer. Hoping to be at dot 5 in the next day or 2 myself. What was your estimated completion date?

Estimated date varied, it was originally July 20-something and then moved to July 6th. Last week when I called they said July 14th. Of course today, July 6th it was on dot 5 in the AM and this evening it's already at "Awaiting Carrier Assignment".

I am glad yours moved up. My expected completion date has been July 10 and it hasn't changed since it went into production on June 24. Still on dot 3.

It makes sense that it went from "Entering Assembly Line" to "Awaiting Carrier Assignment" in the same day. It usually takes about 6 hours to put the car together once it enters the assembly line.

When did your car go into production? What is your production date listed as per your VIN using mdecoder?

My build did the exact same thing. At the beginning of the day it was Entering assembly Line; now it is awaiting carrier assignment. Crazy... but I'm happy to be at this point. Getting close.

From everything I heard so far, it sounds like the X7 has the necessary hardware for Apple CarKey. It's a matter of what software is loaded on the iDrive of our cars at the factory. If they come with version 7.2020.xx I think we should have capability. If we get 3.2020.xx, then we have to wait for the update to arrive for our vehicles.

My VIN is still populating. It's not complete yet. It only lists a few items. Does not list all the options of my build. My production date on mdecoder.com is June 27

I don't know about that. There are some active threads in this topic and while many people are saying what you say I am dubious. They seem to be going out of their way to say vehicles BUILT after July 1st. In their big blog post about the July update it says vehicles built after July 1 will have the "necessary hardware". Nowhere has BMW said it would be rolled out the existing fleet in an update. Also I have a suspicion all 2020 X7s will have a June build date. That's why I asked what the week 30 guys had for build date.

I hear you. I have been reading the same different things you are reading. No one really knows what is really going to happen. When I spoke to BMW NA yesterday, the agent told me that a retrofit may be coming in the future if my car doesn't have the feature, but nothing is confirmed yet. I guess time will tell.
