Finally got to see the X7 in person

My dealer had an X7 on display at their 8 series event last night, so I took a couple of pictures to show some things I hadn't seen posted yet. Specifically, rear cargo with third row folded and storage space under the floor. The under-floor cargo area seems large enough to fit the optional spare without raising the floor like on the X3. I was very surprised at how much better the car looked in person. In pictures, I thought the side rear of the car looked bulky and awkward, but in person it looked fine. And, for Wild Blue, a picture with the drivers and middle seats both as far back as possible to give an idea of middle row legroom.

Lol awesome thanks. I'm sadly actually very interested in this picture. We must be serious potential buyers.

It was a black sapphire M sport 50i with, obviously, tartufo. And, the black 22s. It really looked great.

Good stuff, thanks, man.

I really like the look of those 2nd row Captain's Chairs.

And interesting, in that underfloor picture, the retractable cargo cover can be stored underfloor just like the G05. Any idea where that retractable cover can be installed, and how much it covers? i.e. can it be put behind the 2nd row seats, for when the 3rd row is folded? Or does it only augment the rigid cargo tray behind the 3rd row?

While I did not remove it, I believe the retractable cover installs when the third row seats are folded; with the third row upright, the existing cover is adequate. There are two flip-up covers on either side of the car in the third row — one pair at the base of the window, which I believe is for the retracting cover, and another down by the thighs/knees that has a usb C port and another hook/latch. I'm guessing this is for something to block out the cargo area from the captains seats.

Extended merino in tartufo, which includes the diamond stitching.

Can a small child get between the captains chairs to get to the third row?

Yes, I believe so. And, I think the armrests are removable, which would create even more space to do so.

Thanks for posting. Looks fantastic. Third row looks a shade cramped but the materials back there look fantastic and consistent with rest of cockpit. Love the sculpted seat backs too.

Agreed, looks a bit cramped but I'm assuming the second row can move up a bit making more space on third row? Glad to heard the second row arm rest can be removed for fast third row entry/exits.

I've been trying to compare apples to apples. But even though the 1st and 2nd row dimensions are the same between the X5 and X7, I think the rear side doors might be wider in the X7.

The top picture should be with both front and middle seats ALL the way back. The X7 rear doors are very big, likely larger than the X5. This shot shows the whole door frame a bit better.

Anyone get a sense for how far back the captains chairs recline?

I'm guessing they eventually removed the cover.
