With those plates you're now a true Emirati 🙈

PS. Do me a favor please and post close up pictures of both side mirrors if you don't mind 😁

on nearly every new bmw after 2018 or thereabouts only one side dims. such a lousy way to cut costs. i disabled dimming because i am a stickler for symmetry and congruence.

MB has had these cost cutting measures since around 2010. (only driver side mirror dims).

Correct. Nearly $140k MSRP on my E63 wagon and only one side dims. Previous E63 wagon same way and I blame them for setting the trend.

Look at the 2020 GLS (I have 2 on order), the quality of the interior materials look and feel significantly cheaper than the X7 (also have one on order).

Both BMW and MB had to cut some corners in order to get the price point where it is (below 7 series and S class).

But at some point these cost cuts will catch up with them.

The koreans are coming close in luxury/features at 1/2 the price.
For example, the Kia Telluride or Hyundai Palisade are pretty nice for under $50k. Offer about the same interior room as GLS/X7, and the interior quality is surprisingly good/luxurious for its price. (although performance not quite at GLS/X7 level)
I can see Genesis releasing something in the X7/GLS size at 60 or 70% the price but with all the performance and luxury of MB/BMW.

Agree. Which is why I am in the BMW version. No X167 GLS63 available at the time and on the X166 you had to do GL550 with an MSRP around $115k or so to get actual leather or be in the GLS63. Such a wild tier and options setup but in the same vein a $93k F15 X5 50i had dakota "leather" in it which feels like cheap vinyl.

Not a fan of any Korean vehicles and probably would never own one.

Thought it was only US market and not global
As I saw an 8 and 5 series at the dealer with both dimming mirrors.

My assumption is cars made in the US have this feature removed for some reason.

The X7 looks great in Phytonic Blue Metallic and Arctic Grey Metallic. I'm waiting on the XB7 Alpina will may be available later this year.

Finally my wheels showed up. So happy with the outcome. Completes my Tanzanite blue black theme. Shown in lowest suspension mode.
