*sighs* I like this headlight treatment better than the x7 and 7 series though.

Why is everything trimmed in gold? Is this an early 2000's Toyota?
The headlight treatment is better than the X7/7er due to the shadowline trim but still not pleasing in my opinion, and that D-Pillar is beyond chunky. Overall a very awkward and honestly confusing design, very representative of BMW as of late sadly. |

Fully blacked out, I might prefer it over an X5.
Love the interior though, it's better than I had imagined.

Personally I love it. Sad the M2 was a total disaster, but the XM looks very cool.

Ugh. Not liking this at all. But, BMW's new design language has been turning me off all around.

Looks good... As long as it moves the bar past the X5/X6m, it will do well. I like it and like most of the new designs will look better in person.

If you have to ask the price, you don't want to know the price. I think it's going to be $140k to start.
All the recent great M products are about $140k, that seems to be their price point now. Based on the prototype review on Motor1 and others, this drives like the next great M car. |

It's just the Limited trim! If course, you can always upgrade to the Black Label for $10,000 if you don't like gold

Rear still looks unfinished to me. Like the new keep Cherokee when the tail lights get too slim, there's a lot of extra body there to work with.
All black isn't bad at all though. |

I'd be curious to see what a black exterior with bronze trim and bronze wheels would look like.

I'm a sucker for big BMW SUVs so I will def get this. I asked for an allocation a year ago and the dealer had never heard of the "XM" lol. That blacked out design someone rendered above is amazing.

Better than expected. Sad thing to say about a BMW, but par for the course these days. XM looks aggressive, muscular and the body styling is forward-looking yet refined unlike the new M2, which has an unfinished look and lacks the sophistication of this vehicle. Interior is very nice too, but priced likely in the stratosphere.
