Did you have recorded path for parking? I’m wondering if that is the one making remote parking button appear!!

I have one being built now with a March 1 delivery target. Do you know if they will have that latest version installed from the factory? Dealer is clueless

Just FYI. While troubleshooting a different issue today, they had me reboot Idrive 8 by holding the volume button in. After the reboot, the remote parking option showed up. I have been at 11.2022.44 since December and could not see this option until the reboot.

Good call. I had to reboot the system a month or so ago when the remote start stopped working. It cleared that up with a reboot. Maybe it will work for the other members having an issue with the remote parking.

Worth a try anyways. From what I remember you have to hold the power button in for quite a while to get it to reboot.

Yes by then you will probably have a more recent version then the one that is out now.

I tried restarting the iDrive 8 by pushing and holding volume button, still no luck!!

Same here, no remote parking option. I spent couple of hours with Genius they made me update my iOS version still no luck. Have rebooted iDrive 8 couple of times, may give it another shot.

Same here 2023 X7 40i with Parking Assist Package, recorded path etc., is there, though haven't used it. Self parking works well, however no Remote Parking option on iPhone 13 PRO.

Which iPhone are other folks using?

Looks like BMW is controlling who gets it or there is a hidden checkbox in the settings, like the remote start, that I haven't checked.

Same setup here but with iPhone 14 Pro and nothing. The car itself tells me I can remote park if I get out and open the my BMW App, but nothing is there.

Reinstalled my Digital Key Plus, restarted iDrive 8, phone is running the latest iOS and my BMW app, and nothing.

BMW is probably gate keeping which cars have access at the moment.

I’m not sure if that feature is supported by an Android phone but surely on iPhone and yet, I don’t get to use it!!

This may be a dumb question, how do you know if you have a Digital Plus Key installed?

Go into the app. Scroll down to BMW Digital Key Plus, select it.

If not installed, it will walk you through the installation process. If installed, it will show a digital key (looks kinda like a credit card) and your vehicle, and that they are paired.

I guess it upgraded my digital key automatically when I upgraded the software, because my key already shows under that.

The App Store (iOS) showed me there was an update to the myBMW app overnight and after installing it, remote parking finally appeared as an option when I open the app.

I don’t think it’s appearance is related to the latest iDrive update as it wasn’t an option yesterday and only appeared after myBMW was update this morning.

After updating I am getting more option message
See pic, once I clicked I get another message see pic.

Bottom line, looks like this myBMW update fixed remote parking issue.

My car is still with body shop so I cannot test it!!
