V1 Hardwire - Mirrortap

Used these instructions:
http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=780561

Works great with a Mirrortap with the 0.040" micro connectors.

Which length did you get? Do you mind linking what you got?

Thanks!

MirrorTap, 3000 Series, .040" Tap, Radar Detector, Power Cord With Inline Fuse, 12" Long
(2015 BMW M3)

You could probably be fine with the 9" cord but there is plenty of space to tuck the cord in.

It may be a little pricey but I recommend going with the Savvy connection. Plugs into
The OBD port which provides power and an accessory port.

Still waiting for my M3 so I can't confirm about the lane departure warning. For what it's worth, no issues on my wife's X5 with the V1 and lane departure except random falses from other vehicles with the system when passing by and triggering the detector. V1 LE and custom sweeps also help quiet the V1 a lot and improve performance.

I have Savvy on the 1M and X5 and never had any battery issues in years of use.

Used the mirrortap instructions, but used regular telephone cable and wire taps to power my escort. Also powered my 1296P dash cam.
