why does it have slicks?

I know looks are subjective, different people's got different tastes, but once in a blue moon comes along something that's so hideous that everyone agrees that it's been beaten badly with an ugly stick....

Just read the linked thread from here and the M5 thread. The 3D work is nice on both shots, unfortunately the persons' skills at 3DS Max doesn't give them good taste too.
