Cobb Butt Dyno.

I picked up a used Cobb V3 to give it a try, on my 2010 335xi. Loaded the Sport Map not sure what I was expecting, but I was not able to tell a night and day difference. I am not sure what stock 0-60 times are as I never timed any before the Cobb but after I get low 5 seconds 5.02-5.06 got one as low as 4.89 with the the performance feature on the Cobb. Are those times legit should they be faster?

What "stage" of maps? The sport advance curves are all pretty conservative but you'll still see a big bump in power from stock.

In the real world that sounds about right. If you wanted to really get after it you could launch harder than that with 4WD and shave some time off.

You have to go WOT a few times for the maps to adapt. Give it a few days and try again. Even with the most conservative stage 1 map I was able to tell a huge difference from stock; even during hot/humid summer testing.

I thought the car was fast before, I was under the impression that once I loaded this map it would ignite a rocket. I guess my Butt Dyno is just not good enough to tell a huge difference. I just changed the plugs and did the walnut blast 1000 miles ago does it take a few hundred miles to get used to the flash or should I be able to tell right away?

Did you not read anything I just wrote? How many miles/days/engine starts/etc. has it been since you loaded the maps initially? Including some information and maybe actually data logging* might help.

*Search this site for the term "data logging" for more information on what this is/how to do it with the AP before asking.

Cool I will give it more time, I can't say there is no difference but I was expecting no doubt about it difference. What's a reasonable 0-60 expectation with this tune? What's a stock N54 do 0-60 5.5 seconds?

For an XI a reasonable time would be about 5 sec flat, maybe a bit more. Who cares about 0-60 anyway? My friend has a modded Roush Mustang and he can't get it to 60 in under 5 sec to save his life but it still feels fast as hell and that's all the matters.

Stage 2 is where its at. The butt dyno feeling goes away after getting use to it and I'm assuming that can happen with any power increase stg 1 or 2. At least it kinda did for me (stg 2). Datalogs show the power is there though.

My brother-in-law got a X135, a friend just picked up a VW GTI, and I want to leave no doubt what so ever who's car is faster.

Are you, like, 15 years old or something? What difference does it make...If it's that big of a deal, you should all go to the local test 'n tune and see what each car runs. The guy who comes in last buys the first round of pizza @ Chuckie Cheese.

Get some cobb logs 3rd-4th gear pull WOT w/o DTC on. See what it looks like. Allen@PTF said my tunes too aggressive for AZ 91ACN not so much through the mid rpms but between shifts I'm getting corrections which I'm sure is causing power loss. Going to try a few gallons of e85 and report back soon.

Idk, I notice night and day diff going from stock to stage 1 sport, then to stage 1+ sport. It gives it a good hard kick to the ass when you floor it, relative to stock.

My car feels like a torque monster after I loaded the Cobb Stage 1 Aggressive tune. The power upgrade was massive right off the bat. It's legitimately night and day - something isn't right with your car...

It does feel quicker now after a few WOT pulls, I did load the Aggressive map for a day, and can definitely feel a difference from Sport to Aggressive.

Make sure you run the stock throttle and not linear throttle maps. LT just feels different/slow even with the aggressive map. You should definitely feel a difference with ST sport or aggressive. If you go WOT with stage 1 aggressive with DTC off you're going to feel a scary difference. Scary as in holy shit my car can make this power? lol
