Do codes stay?

After deleting a code with a c-reader, is the code still stored somewhere for BMW to go fishing it out? If so, is there a way to permanently delete the code (without using dynamite?)

It depends on the code, but generally you're OK as long as you delete it on the code reader. No dynamite required.

I just take my car into the dealer to have them delete them for me.
