X5 AC Belt Change (N52)?
I did post this in the x5 forum, but thought I would post it here to, in an effort to cover my bases and perhaps get a faster response.
I have searched high and low and can not find a DIY on how to change the ac belt on an E70. I have 2 belts. The serpentine belt is pretty easy. However, there is almost nothing on an e70 for the AC Belt. Anyone know of a DIY for an e70 (n52) AC belt change? Or have you done it and can give me some advice, tricks etc. I have the belts, tensioner and pulley already from ECS. I just dont want any surprises on the AC belt. |

I think I just figured it out. I did not find a car specific DIY, but I did find a DIY on another BMW. You need a special belt tool that attaches to the AC compressor pulley and slightly lifts the belt up and on to the pulley as you turn the crank. The part is made by assenmacher and sells for $50.00.
