When it just me I turn it off. When my kids or wife are in the car I leave it on, as it's too tempting to kick the rear out. The factory tires don't do a good job of keeping all that torque in line.

Neither does the open differential.

^ yeah for real! That's one thing that really surprises me that an LSD wasn't standard on this car.

One of many things I plan to do in the near future.

If its dry out and Im doing city driving, I have it fully disabled. Cruising down the highway or if its wet out, I will leave it on.

I usually turn traction control off when I plan to get into the throttle, unless it's wet outside. Right after I got my 335d, I was making a left hand turn in front of traffic with the traction control on. I gave it a bit too much throttle and the traction control engaged and clamped down on me before I completed my turn! Fortunately the on-coming cars were far enough away from me. I had to fight the desire to instinctively give it more throttle and instead eased off the gas pedal enough to allow the traction control to disengage and allow me to smoothly complete the left hand turn! I guess I was still getting use to all that torque!

I'll probably turn it off as soon as I can find the time to attend a real driving school. I'm just not confident in my abilities right now if something were to happen.

I dont turn it off, and it almost never interferes. Only times I usually have it off are when doing 1/4 mile passes (aka rarely). I cant help but think some of you guys should have invested in better tires, with continental extreme contact DW in the 265 flavor, I dont have any issue getting the power down on the street even with JBD at 100% and meth. Then again, im not full throttle around corners, since losing traction is not the fastest route

I took an onramp with a sharp curve in it too fast once and I felt my rear end come loose and thought I was going to spin out. It was weird how the car slowed down on its own and straightened out. I make mistakes, so I see no benefit from turning that off, I need my car too much.

This. Last time when I met with some of the diesel members for the Angeles Crest Highway run, my PSS handled those curves like a champ but when I tried driving the others' 335d, who still ran RFTs, I constantly ran into slippage which resulted in traction control activating. They admitted feeling a big difference too. Good tires really do help!

Ditto. I especially don't trust my skills on roads where there is precious little margin for error. That's the nice thing about most tracks, but you can mess up your vehicle there too. There is something about this car's power and my advancing age that tempers my exuberant driving. With my earlier less powerful cars I never felt I could induce uncontrollable wheel slippage with the throttle.
