Does your Office feature work?

In Menu -> Office, I can access the area but everything always says "0" and it doesn't load any emails. Is this because the phone is not compatible (iPhone 5s)? I have tried to go to Options and "Reload messages" but nothing happens.

The trick is to go into bluetooth settings on your iPhone. On the BMW connection, click the info button next to it, then turn on the option "Show Notifications". This will enable the feature "Office" in the BMW, but ONLY for new messages. My text messages work great, and if you hold the voice button you can respond with Siri. Emails work only sporadically.

I thought apple had full support in ios6 during beta, but removed it when it went gold and never returned. I only had new text messages displayed when I had my iphone.

Thanks for the link. Looks like none of the Office features work with the iPhone 5.

Not that this helps, but I connect my android phone via Bluetooth and it pulls in all of my texts, past and future, so long as it's connected.

When the phone is not connected, Office only shows the emails I've sent to my BMW Assist account from Google Maps.

Text

I still can't get text messages or e-mails. I am using a iPhone 4S and closed my apps and locked my phone but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions other than mounting my iPad on my dash. Forgot to say that I have the navigation package.

Do you have "office" enabled on your bluetooth idrive configuration?

Telephone - Bluetooth devices - hit "option" button on idrive - Configure bluetooth
What do you see there ?

you should see

So, I've got my texts to come up... But do we have to stay on / check the office feature. Kinda pointless.

Can't have Nav up, and then new messages "pop up".

What about reading them out loud?

Maybe I'm completely missing something.
