2014 335 GT 1/4 drag update
For those of you that enjoy the sport of 1/4 Drag Racing here is a update on my wife and her 335 GT - Quick recap - Last Oct we took it to the track stock and ran a respectable 13.6 1/4 at about 103. We installed a BMS stage one in the spring and she has run 5 points races since - It is a dial bracket class where you do 2 qualify runs then pick a dial number - It is a pro tree and you get the green based on your dial - so it is all about Reaction Time and being consistant - She has made it to the semi finals twice against some very experienced racers. -Yesterday with a Density Altitude of 2145 (and for those of you that know drag racing that is really really bad air for performance) she made it to the semi again and lost due to a breakout - dialed 13.1 and turned a 13.05 too fast but nice run - The stage one is a great product - gained 1/2 second on 1/4 mile time on a car that weighs 4165 with her in it and she not a big gal. That is huge in drag racing !!!!- forget dyno numbers that is what counts - Also no issues with the car as a daily drive and have had in for service for some re-call twice with no problems - For what I consider a safe and fun tune the stage one is great!
