how do you remove the third brake light.? Mine is stuck or I'm doing something wrong, regardless, I can't get the light out of the opening. If I can get mine out then I will buy it.

just out of curiousity, what do you have as the third brake light instead?

the stock one is in the car, but one side is chiped off and two of the LEDs are exposed. I went to a local dealer and priced it there and they said that it has to be the whole thing, they dont sell just the lens. They quoted me $130.00, labor and all. But if I can do it my self then I will and buy yours and do it myself.

The silver grey pictured is what this clear one came off, I bought it for that car,
I since sold the car, put back on the factory red one, Bought an ///M roadster, That already comes with a clear light so thats why this ones for sale,

There is a service bulletin on faulty 3rd brake lights that are cracked as a result of the springs they used being too strong.

BMW should replace this for free. I suggest you bitch out your SA and tell him how to do his job. And if he still refuses, complain to BMW NA.

Dammit Sold already...my 3rd clear light just broke today. A big ass crack so i had to put the stock red one on

BMW replaced it but didnt put any washers on and tighten the bolt in all the way...noobs
