Fu**in' cats
Staying at a friends right now....cats seem to like the warm hood at night. I got wise and have covered the hood but not before some fine scatches from where those little pric*s slid....
What's the best removal method? Thanks

I would use a BB gun to remove the cats from the hood. I find that works well but if they continue to return you can up the caliber to .22
Try buffing the scratches or maybe use scratchX conservatively. |

or shoot them with a water-blaster gun fill with clorox.....that seems to work well too.

I second JimiFighter's suggestion. I've used Meguiar's ScratchX before (on dark blue paint) and it works well fairly well.
Alternatively, I think an actual auto detailer (say affiliated with a dealership) could buff out light scratches.

I know it sounds odd but try some anti Freeze. I think that will solve your problem. Just place a small cup of it under your car and then the cats will drink it and die.............
Oh wait you wanted to know how to remove the scratchs not the cats? Oh ok I would start with Meguires swirl remover then if that is not enough cut move to some more agressive like a very mild polishing compond. Move in line with the scratch and not in a circle. Then after you see progress dont worry if the surface is dull. Step back to something not as abrasive the polish again then move to the final wax. I use Zanio, pinnacle or Mothers reflections. Others are good too I just like these Don |

use the cats to remove it! they're the ones who did it! just grab them by their legs and start polishing...

Wallmart sells cat and dog repelant, its a granular. Sprinkle that all around the car and believe me this stuff smells like bleach and amonia, it will keep even humans away. Give that a shot, i think its worked for my car so far. Just dont put it on the car, just around the ourside.
