What is everyone using to remove cosmoline in your engine compartment ? Looks especially bad in a alpine white car

FWIW...I use a plastic knife to get the heavy or worst off. Then use 3M adhesive remover on a clean old cotton cloth to soften and wipe residue off. Works just great with no scratches or paint damage.

Zymol Strik - a product I haven't used,yet- is described as a product for safely removing cosmoline.
