Went to order my painted front reflectors.....they want 13.70 for UPS shipping? Isn't that a little ridiculous?? I thought i read somewhere that someone got free shipping?

Haha...I went down the same route. I wanted the rear ones painted. Then saw the shipping price. It's not much $ in the grand scheme of things, but something about overpriced shipping that rubs me the wrong way. I never ordered.

Well they send it UPS and UPS is expensive. When I sold my painted reflectors it cost me $11 and that is with our 30% UPS company discount, so while it sounds high it is not. Keep in mind that they are long, light and packed well for protection. UPS charges the higher of the two. You can be charged by weight or volume. Since the box is light and requires a bigger box than the pieces for wrapping, UPS charges by volume. Blame UPS not IND.

If they can, they should use USPS Priority. MUCH less expensive and just as reliable...in fact, they deliver on Saturday. But you're right...when UPS is used, the price is high and beyond the vendor's control. I'm spoiled by Amazon Prime

You might be able to call them and arrange it. They are a great company and may ship with USPS if that is what you want maybe? Never hurts to call and find out.

I have a new set of the rear reflectors for sale for the 435i up in the exterior parts classifieds -- $80, plus however many stamps it takes to get it too you (should be cheaper than $14).

The better question might be, do you think the total cost of goods (shipped) is reasonable? Can get your reflectors painted yourself for less?

I called IND instead of ordering online, you know, some basic human interaction.... I asked for free shipping, "sure, no problem!!"

I tried the same thing, except when I tried to order the front painted reflectors I was quoted around $45 for shipping, which was WAY to much. UPS charges much more for shipping to Hawaii. USPS shipping is the same if you use a flat rate box. I wish more companies would have this as an option.
