Coding connection error

I just coded my 13 328 with the newest software. But I just tried to connect to a new 328d and I got an odd error. See attached.

My token was just updated and I have coded with it successfully on another car.

Any ideas?

The vin did appear correct but it was appended by _diagXXX something. Is that normal? I dont recall seeing that DIAG on the end of mine.

The car is brand new with only 200 miles on it.

Diag is normal. It will always show up that way when you choose selection via VIN.

Did you try reinstalling E-sys from scratch?

You should not have checked "Read Parameters from VCM".

Check the box above it for "Series, I-Step (shipment)", and leave the two dropdown boxes to the right of it blank:

I tried the read parameters. and blank.

Same error. That's what I found odd was it wouldn't even read iStep even though it received the VIN from the car to connect to.

Its a very fresh Esys load but I will try again I suppose.
