ok, not like there is a lack of SG pics, esp. with 162's but here goes anyway...

I was a little hesitant about the gap since I have the standard suspension, but there wasn't as big a gap as I thought there would be. I think I probably won't change the suspension. what do you think judging by the pics? I basically have a 325 in a 330i's clothing now. |

Nice. The 162's look great. I just bought a 325 SP Jet Black, but definitely want to upgrade rims. Maybe you guys can help me answer this. Would the 199's be too much on this car? Ive seen alot of great looking rims, but Im struggling to make a decision on 18's or 19's.

I recommend droping that car! For me, it's really noticeable because I'm used to seeing the 162's on cars with zsp.

Thanks for the compliments everyone...seems like the consensus is that I should lower the car - damn, I was hoping you guys would say no about dropping it, lol...for now, I'm going to try and live with before I do anything else to it due to cost issues.
Here's how I would describe going from the 16's to the 18's: The look: I've always thought the 162's were stunning but I was awe-struck at how striking they are in person. As soon as the guy started mounting the first wheel, the transformation was immediate. The feel: The car feels more firm and you feel a little bit taller in the driver's seat. I've noticed the ride is affected a little...the car kind of sways left and right at times - I think I may need an alignment... The noise: Seems actually more quiet than the 16"s. will know better when I take it on the highway. |

I knew the ride was going to be compromised but I don't want to get an alignment if I don't need one. Man, now I'm confused. I don't think I will lower the car. I think it looks better without it. I don't want it to look like I'm into "racing" and stuff. Plus I have RFT's so changing the suspension will be a recipe for disaster!! |

If you lower the car do a conservative drop like an H&R sport spring package and you will not be disapointed your car wont look slammed or be impossible to drive around but it will cut all of that extra wheel gap and your car will look so clean!

In the end its your car and you know what you like. Thats why you decided on the 162 (good choice). But after seeing so many pics with of 330's with 162 rims the moment i saw your pics I noticed the gap and knew it didnt have the sport suspension. I say lower it just a little. Congrats...still a great car.
