How do you clean yours?
So back to a black car for me so the monthly battle against swirl marks.
I've just purchased some snow foam to help with the pre-wash. How do you clean yours? And do you recommend any products for metallic black paint? |

If you have swirl marks, try some of this
http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/glazes.../prod_494.html I tend to use Dodo juice / supernatural hybrid and spritz. I will also be using some dodo juice lime prime as a pre wax cleanser. Then 2 coats of SNH and the odd top up with Spritz. Although I may also try Sonax nano paint protection for my winter prep ( topped up with other Sonax stuff). http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/index....iewDoc&docId=5 |

As mentioned many times before, the ultimate wash routine is snow foam, two buckets and a lambswool mitt.
This time around I went with Nano sealant which should protect the car for a couple of years... 19k miles and 8 months in a no swirls yet! Not cheap to get this kind of detailing done.. £300, but worth every penny for me. It's like having a non-stick coating for your car.. even the snow foam struggles to cling on!

Best route is decent coating applied by a detailer on car and wheels. Saves hassle in long run, unless you don't mind spending 8 hours now and then doing it your self They are some peeps on here from your neck of woods that had Gtechniq etc applied. |

Any recommendations for Snow Foam, currently using Megs Hyper Wash. Quite happy with it but interested to know if theres anything "better" (appreciate that's subjective).

Just be careful WHAT you clean your car with. I few people have reported creaky door rubbers on here and its very difficult to get rid of it.

Appears some shampoos are a bit to aggressive at removing oils from seals etc. Suggest Dodo born to be mild or Gtechniq G wash. Also remember to feed your seals regularly. |

After suffering creaky seals on my old E90, I now use BMW’s own cleaning products. You’d hope their own stuff should not cause any issues…

Megs Hyper Wash is a shampoo, use something like Valet Pro PH Neutral snowfoam, very gentle on waxes but does a great job. Loads of thick foam with the right lance.

Have no issues on my panels with snh topped up with Sonax XBSD and actually find that a little rewarding, but thinking of getting my wheels done as these take almost as long as my car! |

The Z4 wheels don't have any sealant on them, so I tend to use the Sonax and a brush. They do have some baked on crap... so for me the wheel sealant makes them a bit easier to clean, but more importantly seems to stop anything getting permanently baked on.

+1 this is what I use and seems to do the job, though to be fair it's the only snow foam I've used so don't have a comparator.
