Does anyone know the difference between the sport and classic interior lighting? I cannot tell the difference or dont know where to look...

The sport lighting is a blue, and the classic is that orange-red thats been in BMW's for years.
It is a subtle difference, since all the button faces will be that orange-red. The one light I notice is the one that shines down near the gear shift area.

Are these the lights on when a door is open or it is unlocked? Or just when driving at night? My girlfriend used to have a mini with lights you could change color and intensity but this is nowhere near as noticable.

i think it's white not blue.... and sport is orange...
you can change sport-classic from iDrive

Also you can code it from 64% to 100%

Ambiance light brighter FEM_BODY 3070 Ambiente_Helligkeit wert_01 wert_01 0,64 0,99

but where are these lights? I toggle between sport and classic and see no difference. Are we talking gauges or just the interior lights that you would flip on to find something? I dont see any lights in the door panels or anything like that.

there is one in the roof... some on the door handles and i think near the floor...

in daylight with the car set as 64% stock might be hard to see... but you can clearly see them at night... just toggle between sport and classic and you will be able to see the color changing so then you know where they are

I noticed that with sport lighting, the lights stay white when I unlock the car, then turn back to amber when I open the doors... Is there anyway to keep the sport lights on?

Finally found these. There are two little slits by the dome lights and tiny lights illuminating the door handles on the inside. Sport is white and the Classic is orange. More of a novelty I think as they are barely visible. Wish they were a tad brighter or some on the floor with more color options. Blue or red would be cool

As I said before you stock is 64% bright but you can code to 100%

Also I think you can control the brightness from the rolling wheel next to the circular light switch

Ambiance light can be coded to be independent of the dash light too
