So effin pissed!
On Nov 7th, 2005 my car was sent to a body shop to repair damage from almost hitting a deer (body panels on the left side, and rear left quarter panel)
The initial work has been completed, but stupid BS has been keeping this estimated 3-4 week repair into a 2 month debacle... I've badgered em plenty of times, along with having my insurance co. badger em as much as possible... but the same bullshit As of today, it needs an alignment and then insurance co needs to sign off on paperwork and its done.... (yeah i've heard that many times too) Anything I can do? the bodyshop is here in Orlando, FL |

if this was repaired at the JMK body shop back in NJ... I'm sure it would have been in my hands within 3 weeks... I can't wait to move out of this shit hole |

what's up with all the deer in NJ? every time i pass that state, those dumb creatures just stand there in the middle of the road starring at me with a blank expression in their face, kind of like bush when they tell him the country is under attack.

i don't mind the deer in NJ as much... they just stare at you and don't really get in the way too much (for me atleast)
here in florida, the deer, along with everything/everyone else just seems really stupid |

I've used Fields BMW as my service center... they've been quite prompt and curteous in my dealings they are located here in Orlando, FL... on the other hand, I used Collision Center of Orlando (certified BMW repair center) and I've been less than pleased... things have moved REALLY slow and its the usual yes sir we'll get it done crap.... |

Lived in the south for 6 years. The folks at the insurance company and body shop are no doubt calling you every name in the book for expecting them to hurry. Life's at a different pace there, for sure, what with fish to catch and football to watch, then discuss endlessly.
Whats equally as frustrating is driving on the roads with them. I think a redneck pickup actually leaves the ground if it exceeds 35 mph. |

The part of the country in your in isn't your problem. I'm getting the impression you used the body shop that your BMW dealer recommended? I've done that once, and I'll never ever do it again. I think they get kick backs for recommending a certain shop. Worst workmanship and slowest completion of any body shop I'd ever used. I had my insurance adjuster examine the car after it was completed and returned to me; he authorized me to take it to another shop to redo the work that the "BMW authorized" body shop did. And then went after them for a refund. |
