Alpha-N tune installed on M4

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Just installed alpha-N tune on my M4,

Dyno run from the company is below. I was told that on the same MAHA dyno, the stock vehicle produced 453 crank HP so a delta ~70 hp on 93 octane fuel (UK 98)

Install was a bit of a pain but the results are pretty amazing. Car feels very strong. I had a little run with a stock F10 M5 yesterday and i was not embarrassed.

Mad.

In the dyno graph you can find wheel power as Prad.

Prad for this car was 439,1PS (or roughly 433Hp)

I assume that the stock M4 that dyno'd at 453PS at the crank on the same dyno had around 60-70PS less also for the Prad measurement.

Stock Prad (WHP) would then be 369-379PS (which correlates very well with the stock crank hp of 425hp/431PS and roughly 10-15% losses).

Dynojets measure around 420-430WHP on a stock engine though... Makes you wonder about accuracy on these dynos Even though the MAHA is supposed to measure wheel power with a accuracy of +/-2%

Have a video of the same FBO 335i that beat the m4 by half a car length from a 40roll, and put a car on me from a 60 roll getting beat by 5+ car lengths in a stock f10, so unless you knew the guy and he knew his car... The data is even more skewed you know

If you just found him and you both gunned it he could have been in any number of settings and if he relied on kick down vs you being in gear it gets even more skewed there.

Difficult to say as I gunned it first. He def was trying as I could hear his engine but he did not really catch up. When I slowed, he flew past. As he slowed to pull off the highway he gave me the thumbs up.

My car is a DCT if that makes a difference.

There is a local car that we installed it on and there is a small difference that you do feel. The car is at supreme power right now.

I don't understand a single word in that German graph.

Where's the stock vs tuned torque curve?

What's the crank HP gain compared to stock?

453hp was actual measurement at the crank for stock. 10% to 15% loss does not equate to 369 hp. Check your math. If anything, it makes people wonder about the accuracy of some of the deductions made on here from posters and not the dynos.

Sick, take a car that runs 120 mph in the quarter and make it faster. Hold on tight.

Here is a hint..453hp was actual measurement at the crank for stock. 10% to 15% loss does not equate to 369 hp. Check your math. Probably why people have been ignoring you outright. Shhh, let them keep denying the Dyno/time slips. It's fun to watch.

Damn. This is getting interesting. We need someone to sum up these threads and declare a tune winner (Dinan, JB, etc.).

Or.....are there stock purist out there that will argue there is no winner -- the car is underrated and the power numbers reported are not worth the $$$ and trouble.

Looking at the graph it seems the car is now producing an extra 80 hp crank or wheel I can't tell. We need a comparison between JB4, Dinan and this one, JB4 seems to be the winner as of right now
