HK radio vs Road noise

Just wondering if others have the same issue.

I got my HK equalizer settings exactly where I want them. I did this with car parked. Now, when O listen to music, I'm constantly noticing a competition between road noise and hearing my music across a wide acoustic range. Tire noise is quite noticeable on highway and drowns out my music.

Anyone else having same frustration?

Not after coming from a C7 Corvette The M4 is much quieter inside.

I find the tire noise quite good but it is dependent on the road surface. It hasn't bothered me enough to notice it but, if it did, I'd just turn of the volume

I have PSS on my current car. Once they start to wear down they get pretty damn loud on concrete. Pretty annoying to say the least, but it's a compromise I'm willing to live with considering they have grip for days.

Yes, same here, above 80mph it gets quite bad, and music is not much of a pleasure to listen to even on HK. I've just done a 400 mile trip and had the music turned off all the time because of the road noise. Running the engine in Efficient mode helps a little, it's quieter.

On the 5 series, you can whisper at 150mph...

Yes, I find the tyre noise too loud, especially from the rear; I'm considering adding extra soundproofing; wish BMW had done that.
