19x8.5 et45 VMR v810 square setup installed on xdrive m235i

Hey guys,

Wanted to share the details on my wheels and tires setup.

My car is a 2015 M235i with Xdrive which comes with 18x7.5 and 225/40/R18 all around the entire car.

I purchased several spacers ahead of time so that I could tweak the level of "flush" to the fenders, as well as make sure the front rims would clear the strut side. The 19x8.5 ET45 VMR v810 needs a spacer in the front to fit, I ended up with 5mm spacers on the front (effectively ET40 front) and 3mm spacers on the rear(for looks), effectively making the rears ET42.

Because the car is xDrive, I wanted to install a completely square setup, just like the stock wheels, but with more width and more rubber. I did not want to mess too much with the neutrality of the car, or cause a bunch more under-steer by going with a staggered setup.

I decided to give 235/35/R19 tires all around a try, and it fits great, and from what I can tell from measuring, the tire is tucked/stretched just enough that I can also lower the car without rubbing. I've also loaded the car up with as much weight as possible and done plenty of "try and make it rub" tests, with zero rubbing. I know people are running ET40 19x8.5 in the front with 225/35/R19 totally SLAMMED to the ground on KW suspension, so I should be good with a modest drop, as I wanted a bit more tire up front so I went with 235. So far so good...

Below attached to this post are the photos... The 5mm front and 3mm rear spaces give me the flush look that i was going for.

Stock setup is not square on a xDrive. It's the same as the regular M235i. (F7.5/R8.0")

Do be aware that xDrive is very sensitive to changes on the wheels/tyres/total diameter.

Anyway, those new Vorsteiner wheels do look very good!

Yes, I am told that the suspension is exactly the same. It feels the same compared to the RWD I drove, and the ride height appears to be the same as well when I compared the two.

Actually, it DOES come with a square setup. in the USA.

Double Spoke light alloy wheels (Style 436M), 18 x 7.5; and 225/40 run-flat all-season tires on all 4 wheels.

OP can you post photos from front and year from down low so we can see how much the wheels stick out or don't, just to see how they sit.

Also I am running H&R sport springs on my M235i, rides the same and looks tons better, just about an inch drop all the way around.

LOL. Sorry! Strange call though. It's still 7.5/8 in the rest of the world.
