IND | KW H.A.S. "Sleeve" Kits Inbound

IND has maintained a partnership for the greater part of our companies life cycle. We are proud to have early access to one of their most popular solutions, the H.A.S. sleeve kit.

Founded in 1992 in Murrhardt Germany, KW has grown to become a leading suspension tuner for European and Japanese cars. KW suspension is developed thoroughly by KW’s engineers to have an extremely long service life and create a balance between great handling and a comfortable ride quality. KW has equipped winning race teams for over a decade, and is a supplier to AMG as well as BMW in the M3 GTS. KW’s facility is one of only 15 facilities worldwide to be equipped with a 7 post suspension test rig, giving regular M3 enthusiasts access to Formula 1 technology.

KW’s sleeve kit for the F8X M3/M4 allows a large range of height adjustment while retaining the factory electronic damping control. The factory spring perches are removed from the front dampers, and KW’s own threaded height-adjustable perches are installed. The kit includes progressive rate lowering springs for each corner of the car, height adjustable spring perches for the front and rear, strengthened and shortened bump stops and KW shock sleeves to protect the OE BMW dampers.

IND will have access to the first 35 kits inbound from Germany. The first batch of kits will arrive mid to late September. Below is a link to the listing on our site as well as some more information regarding KW's 7 post rig testing.

sorry for the stupid question but: can one adjust heights with these on-the-fly with a wrench? or do you have to jack the car up and manually adjust the perches?

This information has not been released by KW, but we anticipate the kit will offer an adjustment range similar to the E9X M3 (.6"-1.2"). Again, this is not confirmed. As soon as KW releases the specs we will update this thread. Shoot me a PM or let me know if you have any further questions.

Would these work well with adaptive suspension? How would they compare and feel to OEM?

Perfect solution! I want to see how well EDC is going to work on the track without going to coilovers.

Yes, HAS kit works with adaptive suspension. Great way to lower the car with minimal change from stock behavior. On my F10 M5, the EDC felt nearly identical to stock with KW HAS - perhaps just a hair stiffer. Not bouncy though

I'm hearing end of sept for V3.

What's the spring rate of this set-up versus stock and H&R lowering springs? Does this kit shorten wheel travel like lowering springs?

It appears that the answer to shock travel is 'yes.' They list 0.6" front and 0.2" rear minimum lowering, hence take that much from shock travel, which maybe acceptable. If these come with 2.5" I.D. springs, we would have a game being able to pick any spring we'd want But of course I don't know if that is the case.

The KW H.A.S. kit is designed with the adaptive suspension in mind. The end user will retain functionality of EDC. As for the feel, the KW H.A.S. kit uses a progressive rate spring so the end result will be similar to factory.

Awesome, I think that's what I'm looking for. I know nothing about suspension lol. How much lower can these drop the car?

Hey, not sure what specs are out for these springs but do you have any info regarding the design? I installed Dinan springs on my E92 M3 previously because they utilized the same design as the stock springs but 10% stiffer along with different perches and bumpstops. I want to get springs that work with the dampers currently installed and function well with the car's suspension. The Eibach springs are the worst of all in this regard.

Are these KW springs similar to OEM springs in design just stiffer? And do we have the spring rate available? I'm wondering whether I should wait for the Dinan ones which are engineered perfectly for the F8x M3 or whether there is a substitute that copies the oem BMW springs with JUST a difference in spring rate. Not much info out there.

Will it be better than just the HR springs and how they will adjust? Like a coil overs?
