Help with Alekshop (Ebay?) Backup Camera Retrofit Install

Hey guys

Got my backup camera interface/kit from Alekshop (looks the same as the ebay ones?) and having problem getting to work on my 328i with NO Nav, NO PDC.

I've plugged everything in right, I think...but display wouldn't turn on even though it seems like it has power going to it. Kit didn't arrive with installation guide and haven't found anything on the interspiderweb that helps.

Check out my youtube vid i sent to Aleks and the photo below per his instructions over the phone (weekend now so I can't get in touch).

The pinouts for the conector that goes to your screen (that purple connector) is different for cars with nav (8.8" screen) and ones without nav (5.5" screen)
So if that module you bought is made for the 8.8" screen you will need some rewiring done

had no idea he had an ebay shop. aleks works on lots of high end cars at his shop here and has an M3 GTS

he's a good dude if you email him with questions.

Sorry, i meant the module looks a lot like the ones on ebay. And yeah, we have been emailing back and forth and he's stumped. Sending me a new unit on monday to see if it'll make any difference.

Can anyone comment how Aleks rear view camera is regarding visibility, quality, etc. vs the BimmerTech one? Especially at night (low/no light situations).
