GT Haus Meisterschaft GTC Exhaust Review

First:

I want to thank Mark@GT Haus for getting the exhaust here for SoCal Euro. It was crunch weekend getting my car ready and installing the other stuff.

The first exhaust that I got is the Meisterschaft GTC with Valve control and Full Cat Back LX Pipes 65mm with 102 mm Tips.

Many might say that the tips are too large and I beg to differ. The 90mm tips looks small and with a diffuser the 102mm tips looks aggressive and makes a points. But to each there own.

Install:

Took about 2 hours. It was installed at Supreme Power in Anaheim. Thanks to Eric, Tam and Nick for helping out.

The stock exhaust was heavy and all one piece.

Here is the photo of the full exhaust laid out.

Installed:

Pros:
-The tips are adjustable so that you can adjust it to your liking.
-Valve control. At Cold start, this thing is loud. **
-The exhaust is a great looking exhaust. The welds and pieces fit perfect. We had no issues with installing the exhaust. Very simple and easy to understand.
-Sounds great paired up with ER Downpipes. You can really hear the turbos big time. At the show we started up the car at least 15 times so that people can hear the exhaust.

Cons:
-Drone. I am going to be completely honest with you, drone doesn't bother me or my wife or my daughter. Something is always on, the radio, a movie for my daughter or when its just me in the car, I roll down the windows so I can hear the engine and exhaust. Now, when the windows are up and I am on the car, there is no issue at all. The drone does appear around 1500-2000 rpm. And I never drop at those rpm unless I am in traffic. Or you can solve the issue with using the valves.

The pros outweigh the cons at the point. Right now, the exhaust is settling in. Its much more toned then when originally having it installed. The exhaust does make a statement and sound good to me. Now most people do not like rasp, or when the car barks back at you. This exhaust barks back. I haven't had any issue with this exhaust.

Here are some vids from Instagram. (Didn't know how to upload it)
My next setup is going to be LX pipe in 90mm and GT2 rear section. I am going to use that for my tract setup and using that for SEMA this year with Litespeed Racing.

Evolution Racewerks Downpipes:

These makes a huge difference on the car. I had these installed before the exhaust and the added torque is noticeable after install. I would recommend these to anyone. Yes downpipes will throw a code but it can be erased with the JB4. I have the JB4 installed on the car.

Anyone in SOCAL there will be a dyno day on September 27 @EAS in Anaheim. I will post a separate thread regarding that.
Have any questions feel free to ask me and I will do my best to answer honestly.

**Also keep in mind that I have Evolution Racewerks Downpipes**

How quickly do they throw a code, and how quickly does the code reappear once you erase it?

The downpipes do throw a code. With the jb4 installed it eliminates the code with auto delete. You will not see the code again

i think it'll be better if you have a video of it under load when accelerating , shows the sound quality better other than just revving it.

Love your car!! Personally I find the 102mm tips too large....I also find the stock 90mm tips too small....would like to have seen something like 95mm tips....

Are you experiencing any rubbing on the rears...your car looks extremely low at the rear...

Nice set-up.
Is this a SUS or Ti exhaust?
I don't really like that it drones(
How about the closed valve? No drone?

Can't really help with drone issue. Even stock exhaust drones (worse if you have catless dp) if you keep exhaust valve open during low rpm.

This is a SUS (Stainless Steel) system.

The drone can mainly be attributed to the cat-less downpipes. As the ///M ARMY said, the issue can be solved by closing the valves.

Cars with a cat-back setup should experience little to no drone at all.

I've heard this car and it's amazing. Extremely loud and snarls and barks at you. Sounds like a race car.
Nice color on the rims.

The car totally different from stock.

I do have Downpipes and JB4 which adds power to the car. The car does sound aggressive and feels aggressive in WOT.

We placed 295/25/20 and there is no rubbing. We are running aggressive offsets in the rear.

Are there any other way to erase the code without JB4? Do you have drive by videos of this exhaust?! Sounds pretty good, but I want to see some drive by's. Haha.

I recently installed the GTC for my car and it has droning. I was googling this morning to see if this is common and found it that it is. and that it's fairly common on all performance exhaust systems.

I installed just the exhaust portion without the X pipe at first. The droning was pretty significant, but only between 1500-2200 RPM. But that's where the car shifts and pretty hard to avoid. I called GTHaus, who suggested I use the x-pipe. So, I installed the x-pipe. It made a big difference in the droning. It now only drones from 1600 to 1900. I find that if I'm on the highway going 55 (about 1800 rpm) and put the stick in sport mode, the car stays above 2k until i drop down to about 40 mph. it makes it easy to deal with.

The droning doesn't bother me in the drivers sear, but it has to be loud in the back seat. By moving the stick in and out of sport mode, you can really minimize the droning.

all in all, very happy with the exhaust. very deep sound; can bark on demand and feels great to drive.

my 2 cents.

I like the GThaus exhaust, it does drone, it is loud and rasps a bit but it sounds great if you are after a super aggressive setup
