Custom DPF Delete + Tune

Hey All

I have all the necessary equipment to access the encrypted EDC17 and have some tunes in my possession that I am dying to try!

However, I will need to do the DPF delete first before I can tune my car. The tune will be designed to take advantage of the DPF delete for the most amount of power. I will have some dyno runs to backup my claims once all is said and done.

I also want to tweak the tune abit to take advantage of my meth injection, but that is a whole different issue.

So I want to see how many of you are interested in a custom DPF delete pipe? I will be ripping the DPF off of my car soon and if I have enough people interested, I can look into producing more than one pipe.

I can either provide you with the pipe without the tune, or I can do pipe + tune package (and EGR Delete + spider boot option if wanted).

Regardless if there is interest or not, I will be going through this exercise and will post my results and dyno runs!

Let me know what you guys think!

Ill be digging into my car very soon

This has nothing to do with Megaspeed at all lol.

I was under the impression that the spider-boot worked with our ECUs... I was planning on installing a spider-boot on mine.

Can you elaborate on your experience?

DR, Spider-boot does not equal MPF.

Please provide a technical explanation. No hand waving allowed.
P=V^2/R, P=IA, P=I^2R

Those were some hints to increased power dissipation computation. Don't suppose your saying the extra chip is rejecting heat back to parent board are you? Or, are you saying the parent board will itself have higher heat dissipation?

Cuda I'll be straight w u. I spoke to Lenny when he came to visit me here in PR. And I mentioned it he all of a sudden told he wouldnt do it cause in his perspective it would create more heat issues and programming problems and he would not do it for anyone

So Lenny said it. Then you said it. Ask Lenny to explain why. How many watts is the extra board pulling? Is increased wattage occurring in main board. What is mass of spider board? See where I'm going. Trying to build a case for or against the unsupported opinion. Heat getting bottled up in the board will warm it up.

In God we trust. All others bring data. This is a slogan written on a plaque at head console of a shuttle flight control room before program's end. I don't claim to be smarter than anyone else here but coaching you to be careful and thorough before flippantly passing something on.

If it were really getting hotter, one of those computer microprocessor heat sinks would cure it as long as it would fit.

Have 2 deer build your pipe. By the time you get dimensions, flanges, materials, a jig, build a few, make sure they fit.....it won't be worth it because he's already building them. Now another option for a tune is always nice to hear!

How the fuck would Lenny know if he hasn't installed one before?

Stop confusing the Spider Boot with the MPF.

Not like the engine bay is cold or anything like that.

Stop spreading FUD.

Spider boot = flashing though OBD
MPF = you can flash at home

Lenny just hating bro. He'd be ball-washing the Spider Boot if he had access/knowledge on how to install/run it.

Greek just spoke to Lenny and both agreed its an good product but not his cup of tea and will not do it. My personal opinion on this the way I saw it was performed a red cable looped into the programming(if not please correct me on it) would cause some heat issues that said, thats my opinion and that alone would deter me but if its differently configured ok. Lenny was very opened minded but like I say he would not venture on this and thats that. If Jarek has done it great and I wish him luck honestly I still think its a good idea but im not a tuner nor you are either. You've seen the videos and pics of what Lenny has done and you were impressed. So best of luck to Jarek

BTW I dont drink Kool Aide I drink Caprisun w less sugar jajajajajajaja
