You will be pleased to know that diesel has finally been accepted as a developing market here at Dinan and is at least on the radar for future developments. However, the directive is still that the gasoline powered vehicles need to be done first since that is the vast majority of the vehicles out there (bigger market, bigger priority; go capitalism). We get enough inquiries on diesel though that the needle has been moved and is in future plans unlike its dismissal in the past.

Sadly since the 335D is no longer sold, I expect few performance shops to invest the time and money it takes to develop anything for our cars.

Maybe for the next gen F30 diesels.

Recently had a 328D loaner. No thanks BMW can keep it.

I couldn't agree more! The 328D was a disappointment when I drove it at the BMW Driving Event a few weeks ago. VW's TDI blows it away- especially the new 288 engine.

It felt anemic and not very torque rich.

We need a government program or some sort of legislation to force Dinan to mod 335d's.

This is a hate crime.

$2500 for a tune that creates less power than most tunes do for 75% less? I just don't see the hype with DINAN. I guess their factory warranty, or something..

Perhaps it is only because I am currently sour over my service visits but I was surprised in my 328d loaner. Having a 328i for a couple days then sending my 335d back to the shop and going to the 328d, I found it to be a nice upgrade from the 328i. No where near as much fun as ours but the drive was nice and torque present. On the highway it was a suitable contender for a commuting car and great economy.
