My '13 MR 335i with Painted Splash Guards (Front)
After driving & washing my '13 335i for about six months now, I became concerned with the debri/streaks being kicked up by my front tires on the side skirts. The way the fenders and skirts 'turn in' behind the tires allows about 10-20% of the tire tread to just pummel the sides with whatever I drive over. In the coming winter, I could see rock salt really leaving its mark.
So, I looked to see what BMW offered as far as splash guards go, and although they sell them, they are only offered in textured black plastic. Yuck. Nothing a little sanding & painting by my local body shop can't fix, though. Took me about 1/2 an hour to install them and here is the finished product. Yes, ultimately I'd rather not run splash guards, but I'm quite happy with how these turned out and am comfortable with the protection they offer. Enjoy the pics. It's barely noticeable and your paint shop did a good job!
Amazing pictures too, btw.

I didn't do the rear (even though I bought the set just in case) because the rear bumper curves away from the tire, so I'm much less concerned about long-term scratches and damage to it. The rear set is also quite a big bigger so the "ROI" was quite a bit lower. I've run front-only on my cars in the past and was pleased with the look. http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/3755/BMW-MUD-FLAPS BMW Mud Flaps / Front 82162218983 BMW Mud Flaps / Rear 82162218984 |

Thanks guys. Got to test them in the rain this morning and they reduced the side spray but quite bit more than I was expecting. Liking the setup so far.

wow, I seriously need this, the bottom body panel behind the front tires are always dirty on my car, sometimes even with black tar that I have to eventually clay bar it off.

One of the best splash guard projects - if not the best. As if the vehicle arrived from the factory with front splash guards.
Did the paint shop apply the proper paint based on BMW color code? |

It held up really well, however I switched over to the M-Sport side skirts in late Summer 2015 for which these were not compatible, and thus I've been splash-guard free for abut 3.5 years. I miss the functionality of them.

Yes, they matched it perfectly. I was really happy with the result. |
