Strange noise coming from my new car

I just picked up my 2008 335i sedan last week, i couldnt be happier with it except for one thing. When the A/C and radio are off I can here a noise coming from behind the glove box. I can only describe it as the kind of sound a guitar amp makes when its turned up and not being played on. Like a high pitch buzzing sound. Can anyone shed some light on this?

My previous car was a 2006 325i and I never experienced this, the cabin was completely quiet when the a/c and radio were off and engine was running.

It's probably the fan in the ECU box -- it vents into the cabin just under the glove box.

Thanks. Its not that annoying, i was just hoping theres nothing wrong with my new car.

You will hear a lot of strange noises from this car, sometimes long after the car has been shut off and locked up. The electronics do not go to sleep, at least not right after the car has been turned off.
