PICS M Performance front spoiler installed without CF carbon fiber splitters
Hey guys,
I know you guys were waiting on pics of the front m performance spoiler in the other thread... and it got way too long w/o any good close ups. Well here is my f80 with it installed! There is a protrusion, but it doesn't look bad at all in my opinion. |

Yeah definitely a protrusion but I like it like this so much better. Though I'd imagine ultimately it would drive me nuts to see that exposed bit.

Great post, the other thread is sad there's hardly anything.
Looks good I'm sure it could be prepped and smoothed by a shop, especially if you plan to paint it gloss black or something. On a dark car I'd probably just go ahead with the splitters. |

hopefully someone will come out with a normal paintable abs plastic side diffuser. The whole carbon splitter look is really ugly IMO. I would know, I had it on my 2006 330i. The look is played out by now.

Glad I saw this. Just got a package from IND with the gloss black grille surround + gloss black side markers. I wasn't quite sure how it all would play off the light alloy wheels. It looks awesome! I also dig the lower lip, which was the point of your post.

I think That most design and manufacture Lip spoiler with install with splitter as a complete fitting , Ones with lip spoiler design only are very expensive

Hey Turkish...
Also, just wondering, how did you install the lip without the splitters? Did it install as it was originally intented? Or did you had to drill holes? use Adhesive? etc?? Thanks. Quote:

No holes needed. It installs they way it is intended to.
But I went ahead and bought the splitters a couple months later because the gaps in the front allowed small rocks to wedge between the lip and the bumper. |

I would not be able to live with that. Just looks like a poor fitting lip in all honesty... Theres many lips on the market our cars now that do not require splitters, I would recommend looking into one of those.
Sorry to sound negative, just the truth

Thanks Turkish.
And I agree, Catch, there are plenty aftermarket ones, but I would like to stay OEM. I might eventually, when I get the money to, buy the splitters and paint them black or I might wrap the lips to cover up the fitment from showing. But for now, this is the best (and cheapest) OEM option. hehe Cheers. |

For those who want to color match and don't have a dark color here is my SO with just the front lip. If you want anymore shots let me know, the CF spoilers should be on this weekend. I didn't realize the M perf. lip would stick out so far, I like it. Also didn't think the CF spoilers would protrude as far as the lip makes it seem.
