Not sure if Z10 is the cleaner or the conditioner but if its the conditioner, you need to clean the leather good first.
Lexol sells an orange leather cleaner bottle which is good for cleaning the leather well before a conditioner. You can then apply the conditioner with w/e media you choose. I like foam applicators. The small types you use for wax application. |

I would definitely get Z-9 (leather cleaner) and apply it before Z-10. The leather needs to be clean. The Z-9 will give teh Z-10 a clean surface to condition.
I've tried the Lexol products, but I wasn't impressed with them. I may have used to much product but my interior had a chemical smell afterwards. Zaino leaves a leather scent.

I can actually pick up the z9 locally, so I will do so. Just curious what applicator/towel I should use for each step..

Cotton and terry applicators work. They tend to shed a bit when new. MF applicators are good and soo are foam. All these mentioned work great for the conditioner.
With the cleaner I would spray it over a section of leather. Probably 12x12 and with a terry towel scrub lightly back and forth, side to side. For stubborn stains in leather, a baby brush is good. I on the other hand clean my leather with a steamer so I just need a terry towel to wipe off the dirt. Joy. |

Clean with a towel or use a brush for the more dirty parts. For the conditioner, I put it on my hands and rub on the seats, like applying sun block. Works great, and my hands are luxuriously supple and smelling of leather afterwards.

That is hilarious. I usually just wipe down my seats with a wet microfiber towel, I never open my windows, so it never really gets dirty, then I follow up with a foam applicator using Z10.

You can apply Z10 to your seats by rubbing it in with your hands (sounds strange I know, but it works). I use a small microfiber towel for smaller areas, like the doors.
I use a small brush for Z9 (the Zaino leather cleaner), which I apply to the seats that have someone sit in them .... i.e. rarely ever have a backseat passenger, so I don't feel the need to clean it before putting on the Z10. BTW, you don't need to wipe of any excess Z10, just let it absorb. If you use Z9, use a small cotton or microfiber towel to dry it off.
