V2 install complete!!

Just finished installing V2. Apparently, when I printed off the install guide from Vishnu Forums some of the text was left out and I had some wires left over (i know, i know). Pulled their site up in my garage and went back over my steps.

Put the bypass plugs in and let idle for 5 mins - no codes or issues.

Took bypass plugs out and installed firmware update and the newest map. Set torque values at 94% across the board and took it for a spin. No codes. I didn't open it up to its max, but I can definitely feel more torque across the board. What is a good set of torque values (meaning, how do you know how high to go? Wouldnt 100% be obvious?)

I left the serial/USB cable plugged in and ran it inside and across my door jam, tucked in a corner piece of molding on my glove box and then ran it around and behind my glovebox so I can grab it at any time and make changes.

Any other suggestions on the torque settings? (it is a 535i).

Lastly, I cant figure out the vacuum line thing. Not sure if they have been stock the entire time (would 1.47 run without issue if the vacuum lines were in their stock format?)

You shouldnt just up it to 94% before you datalog for the first time. Some users are seeing over the recommended 15psi stable boost w/ the 90% setting. I recommend you reset your tq values to 90% across the board and let the car adapt for a few days and then run some level ground 2-3rd gear datalogs and see where you stand. Since your on the right coast you are probably running 93 or 94 octane, so your fine to be a bit higher, but better safe than sorry!

+1. All cars are different.... you may hit the 15psi on 90% values so start there and work your way up.

Thanks....can you give me some insight into how to log the data during a drive so I can see where my boost levels are? Also, is 15psi the max I want to run?

I didn't have my V2 on long enough to do logging, but I would say 15 psi is the max. We don't yet know what the max psi these things can run, so I would say stay below 15 psi for now. If we see turbos or engines blowing then BMW could start voiding alot of people's warranties which would suck for all of us. I think AA killed an engine with 18psi(according to other forum comments) , so 15 is more than likely a good safe boost.
