Looks a bit clearer than Zaino. If it was up to me I would have gone with
50/50 wax but I know durabilty is important to a lot of customers.

They sent me the entire line trying to convert me, they are claiming their "newer" stuff is better than the OG Zaino. We will have to see.

Zaino is great stuff, just not what Im looking for personally. Very sterile.

How do you guys clean the engine bay? I think I have the exterior and interior down, but I'm lost when it comes to cleaning under the hood.

Nice work, BTW. And the photos really show what the color looks like under bright sunlight. We get so many "jet black or sapphire black?" posts, these photos would be a good place to point many new buyers.

Well I clean the engine in about 20 minutes or so. Grab some plastic grocery bags with some rubber bands and cover w/e is electrical or looks sensitive. The while the engine is warm but not hot, liberally spray the entire bay and underside of the hood with an APC. Let sit and dwell while I use w/e brush I may need to scrub and reach filthier of areas. Then I just pressure wash the underside of the hood, and with a hose attachment use a regular hose to rinse the rest away. Spray all over the place but never in one spot for too long. Then while the engine is still wet, spray dressing on all plastic parts and turn the engine on (removing the grocery bags and rubber bands). Shut the hood and continue to clean the wheels of the car. By the time I'm done thoroughly cleaning the wheels, tires, and fenders, the heat from the engine being on has dried everything inside up, leaving me with a nicely dressed engine bay needing only a wipe down to matte down the shine...

Joy

Oh, and if needed, I'll use an AIO type polish (like Klasse AIO, ZAIO, PB PWS, ect) to polish any painted areas.

Thumbs up

Luis,

Thanks again for the excellent work! I owe you. Sorry it took me so long to come on here and give some honest feedback, but I've been extremely busy.

I highly recommend Luis' work. My car looks much better than when I drove it off the dealer's lot now. I think much of the damage was done by the dealer to begin with. I think I will be using his services again in the future since he pays great attention to detail, goes above and beyond expectations, and can work around your schedule.

I wish I had the skill and patience to do this stuff myself.

Sweet, I've been curious on how to clean my engine bay as well. So what are the parts I need to be concerned with covering in plastic? I've heard people say that you need to lube parts afterwords to avoid rust... is that true?

Hey man, where in Phoenix do you wash your car? My apt. complex is pretty stringent on no car-washing.

dont worry about covering stuff unless you are going to jet the water very hard, but if you want you might want to cover up the air filer and ECU box(right below windsheild)

no, your engine will always get slightly wet whenever it rains, just apply some meguiar's hyperdressing 4:1 and you will be fine!

You could do that and risk it, or you can be safe about it and cover shit up... Precaution is also a big part of PREP which is the biggest part of detailing.

JOY

Whatever looks sensitive. If you don;t know what it is, cover it and clean it later by hand.
