As BMW is a franchise business in the uk only Park lane is actually BMW UK so the franchise dealers Stephen James , Spire, etc will differ slightly i am sure as they are not restricted by BMW uk only advised.

Got my car booked on Monday for first run-in service. But have done 1207, iDrive says 30 miles to go.

Hopefully it's not a problem? to go over 1200 miles? plus should stll be able to redeem it via 5 year service pack?

Mines on 1,400 miles and due in this Wednesday. They checked with warranty department beforehand who said it should not pose an issue as there is a tolerance built in.

Lets see what their response is *if* you ever have a warranty claim.....

I concur with others, my dealer firmly reminded me that it is a violation of the warranty to not have the service completed on or before the 1,200 miles has passed.

Even more so the fact that the actual mileage is recorded, logged and can be seen by anyone on the iDrive. Potential re-sale issues maybe?

I never keep car for longer than 12 months and trade in to same dealer - so not really an issue. Sales Manager looked into it and if he says it isn't the case at trade in then I can whip out his e-mail

Anyone share from their experience after first run-in service, what the BMW technicians did?
