PROcede V1 / V2 installation hint
Hi guys,
Reading about the PROcede and issues, one category of possible issues are loose intercepted wires, isolated by using the recommended electrical tape. You can proactively avoid this issue by using a 4mm diameter shrink hose instead of the tape. This will isolate the connectors and hold them in place in addition. For shrinking the hose, a heat gun works best for me. When you remove such a shrinked hose later on, heat up the hose again and pull on the connectors, not on the wires. Be careful and avoid to apply any force. This works perfectly for me, so it should work perfectly for you as well . - Eugen |

I just worked on someone car that had a complete sodered install with shrink wrap looked great really clean (although required cutting the OEM ECU wires) but they also never had a problem. It made it alot more difficult to install their V2 but it's in now and we need to clean it up a bit more.

Didn't someone list out the OEM connector part numbers you could use to avoid the whole intercepted and taped situation? (Connect the wires into new small connectors that snap together. Mini looms?)

In my case they did not fit 100%. It is odd to remove those connectors going back to stock as well.

You would think that a tuner would go to the effort of designing a simple, safe, quick, easy, and bullet-proof plug&play that leaves no fingerprints.
Post up some photos for a good DIY.

I broke off a connector pin off of ecu wire 837 (actually I guess it pulled off). I'm having trouble sliding the exposed end of the wire back into the tiny connector. Does anyone know if these are crimped? Reason I ask if I were to buy a new one the opening to accept the wire would be bigger.
I suppose I could use a "butt connector", but would still need to change it back in order to revert back to stock.
