V2 Valet causing galluping???

Just wanted to know if other people have experienced using valet mode causing the idle to gallup during cold starts..I have the valet set at 1700 rpms..When i start the car, I must immediately rev the engine to 1700rpms, upon doing so the Procede becomes activated and sometimes the car starts to gallup and go into engine reduce power mode...I wanted to know for people who have this issue are you using the valet mode? I feel that this problem maybe caused by actually revving the motor when its cold and making the rev to high that when it returns back to the normal idle it starts to go nuts...I might be wrong but just wanted to see if there is any correlation to this problem, if so maybe Shiv can fix this because i do like the function and have turned it off since...So far no more galluping!

It's a different issue not related to valet.

You know I did per the other thread. I'm still on the special 12-24 map that Shiv e-mailed to me that lengthens the PROcede startup. So far (with that map) the issue has gone away. I can't be sure the problem is related to the rev up for the valet feature, but it's something that should be looked into.

Hey CN555, I thought I read a pretty good suggestion somewhere earlier for your problem. I think It was Eugen saying to set your valet back down to 300 and see if this does away with the problem. I have mine at 300 and no gallups (Knock on wood)

Yeah i understand setting it to 300 rpms which i have done, but i was just wondering if OP like myself who have this galluping problem also used the valet feature...I kind of like that feature, but have it turned off just to see if it goes away....Try it for a week and next week turn it back on at 1700rpms...I guess i am like testing it!!!

I've got my valet left at the default 300rpm and still get the gallops.

Because it has nothing to do with the valet feature, just like I explained to you.

When u set the procede to a certain rpm which a makes the Procede not turn on and feels like stock, until you start the car and immediately raise the rpms to blip or turn on the Procede....Its for when u park the car and leave it for the attendant or let your wife or girlfriend drive the car and not let them have access to the potential power with Procede

you can set the valet when you go to the torque settings instead go to the valet feature on the same list as the user torque setting, just scroll down one...but remember its set at default 300 rpms that means its always on, but if you set it at say 1700 rpms, when you start your car, immediately you have to raise your rpms to 1700 or more rpms to make the Procede turn on, otherwise you will be in valet mode and stock power!!
