what to use on plastic/vinyl interior parts?

what should i use to clean and protect the plastic/vinyl parts in the interior. In particular, i'm referring to the dash, the section on the top of the doors (right below the windows) and some of the plastic bits in the center console and footwell area.

I just use soapy water with a damp microfiber towel. It doesnt leave any shine and cleans evenly.

Just a wet MF should be enough. I use a chamois on my exterior, and wipe down the interior afterwards if it's really bad. Even the scuffs from shoes come off with just teh damp chamois.

Got with just water first, then move up to harsher things like soap, if needed.

303 is a protectant, but maybe with it being wet it helps to spread around the dirt until you can't see it?

I use 303 cleaner prior to the protectant, no spreading dirt around.

does the dash fade readily over time if some type of protectant isn't used?

I've had mine 3 years in May, and the black on the dash hasn't noticeably faded or anything. But after seeign how black my tires are after a couple of applications of 303, next time I do the interior I'm putting some on the dash!

I use aerospace 303 to protect, but I use the stoner's product for interior trim, becuase it cleans well without leaving any shine or any residue at all for that matter.

I just use my damp rag to wipe down the trim whenever I clean the seats with Zymol leather cleaner... which, since I have creme beige seats, is rather often

When I do a more serious interior cleaning the vinyl surfaces get their 303.

Tape off the surrounding plastic with blue painters tape and polish it out like you would paint. ScratchX should work out fine.

I like the Meguiar's Quick Interior Detailer stuff. It makes the plastics look matte, and takes ALL the grease off from fingers.

i use Meg's interior QD to clean, then 303 to protect afterwards. is it bad to mix the two? 303 on top of Meg's QD? would the 303 not bond as well to the dash?
