Highest pitched exhaust combo?

With all the different options, which one best emulates a higher pitched NA-like sound the best? Assuming downpipes plus akra perhaps?

I am wondering if downpipes plus the stock system produces a higher pitched raspy sound a la e46 or catless e92?

No input here? I am so unfamiliar with turbo engines I have no idea what produces which sounds. In NA motors its pretty easy as going catless raises the high pitch noise on the past M's. Turbo I don't know if catless downpipes make it deep or high pitched?

Cat less downpipes and stock rear give it a e46 m3 raspy growl

There are only a couple of exhaust systems actually available right now:
- Akrapovic (evo and slip on)
- BMW Performance
- Meistercrap (a few variants)

Lots are coming out soon:
- Borla
- Eisenmann
- Magnaflow
- etc

None of them sound high pitched so far. IPE/Innotech is working on something. But, be patient and be willing to do some research on your own - coming to the forum without doing any previous research just makes you come across as "FEED ME"

This early (the cars have been out for less than 6 months) you're gonna have to be willing to throw in if you want good info.

Add Active Autowerke to the list above of exhausts in development for the M3/4. I had one on my E36 M3 back in the day (and loved it), so I inquired as to their intent to release one for the M3/4 and they confirmed that it's in the works.

Arqray has a system coming out too, as seen on their Instagram. It looks like it's completed already.

Sorry but this is the most ridiculous post I have ever read on a forum. In a brand new car, with limited options, one asks a question on a forum about an exhaust characteristic and you tell them to research before coming and asking? Where may you add one researches this topic? And even if it was readily available, what the heck is the point of a forum

I mean maybe if I went on the e92 forum and asked the question, I could see your response but really?

How do you think I know about the various exhaust options?

You don't think he couldn't have read the sticky that details all of the options?

He actually answered the question very well ... stated what was available and what he knew was coming. The most ridiculous post you have ever read. :roll eyes:

He just suggested to do some research like we all are having to do since not many of us have an aftermarket exhaust yet because the limited supply and offerings.

I can say that I doubt any aftermarket exhaust is going to produce a high pitched sound. All they can do is modify the baseline sound of the car for the most part.

-ARK Performance is also coming out with one
-iPE (cant wait for this one)

As far as the best sounding and highest pitch, your not going to get an answer until a majority of these exhaust systems are out and people have them. My answer for the loudest would be the iPE system, all their products are super loud haha.
