engine overheated w/ v2???

Just went for my maiden voyage and everything was fine until i was about 2 miles away from my house...oil temp reading was only at around 180, yet my idrive screen was telling me that my engine is overheated...WTF...its freezing out and the engine is cold. Car would not move more than 50' at a time. Gas pedal is useless. Just walked home from about 1/2 mile away since it is mostly uphill and knew car would not make it. I have not reassemble the air filter and such, but doubt thats the problem...please help...is it some kind of sensor that has gone wacko? I'm going to try and put bypass plugs in and make it home, so I'm off for another pleasant walk...any ideas would be greatly appreciated

every time i stopped i tried to move it where there might be free flowing air, but doubt that was effective...just got back after putting bypass plugs in...same result...would you suggest putting everything back together??

Garage List
I recommend putting it all back together and make sure all the wires are connected correctly. Im wondering if you crossed the wrong wires.
