M3 Available NorCal, Blue/Cloth, 6SPD, $65.7K

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Guys,

My low option M3 sedan came in yesterday (tried to optimize for weight) - Unfortunately, I can't close on it right now

Yas Marina Blue
Black Leather/Cloth Interior
Carbon Roof
6SPD Manual
Carbon Fiber Trim
M-Suspension
19" Silver Wheels

Please ask for Jesse Jansen@ BMW of Fremont, asking MSRP $65,700. Car has 12 miles and I drove it GENTLY once around the block and I can say it feels noticeably lighter/livelier than the loaded demo M3 they had.

You ordered the car, stuck the dealer with it AND put miles on it anyway. I love your nerve!

My kind of build, wish that car was on the east coast.

BTW don't feel bad my dealer here has an M3 and an M4 on the lot that the customers who ordered did not take delivery. Word is they kept a $3000 deposit on the M3 but not the M4 because there was a mix up about the sun roof on the 4 car. Hopefully you did not lose your deposit. Problem is for the dealer most of us Fan boys like to order these cars to our exact specs.

So, what happened? Why are you not able to close the deal?

Taking a wild guess that's it's because of financial reasons.

Most dealers will keep the deposit until the car is sold.

Such haters across the board. Maybe he had a serious issue come up that was a priority ie medical care for himself or family.

It's better to not jump into something you can't afford than get stuck later on. Way to be responsible.

Things happen... that's a fact of life. Two years ago when words came that my department was going to be closed, I was getting myself ready to be laid off, and then found a good opportunity in another group. Ended up taking that job and got a big salary raise... that's how I can afford an M3 now.

Sometimes bad things have to happen to break things apart and make ways to better things... I'm hope things will turn around for you and you'll be able to buy that car back in the near future.

That's illegal in CA. Dealers are required to refund deposit if the car is not delivered to the customer. There's no waiting for a car to be sold etc.

Way better reason than mine why I delayed getting the one I have by a few days. Dog ate my sign in information to my internet bank, and I had to wait to get a new set.

All this sounds easy, but I swear our mail man is as blind as a bat. I get the neighbors mail, but not our. I stalked him for a week just to get those damn things.

OP, I wish everything sorts its self out and you join us later with your toy.

Yeah, my boss at the Nacho stand promised I could work double shifts for the next five years but then she re-neg'd when I starting flirting with the chick at the smoothie bar (I told her it was nuthin')

I literally put on 0.5 miles and if you can't feel a ~400 lb difference in that distance, maybe you don't deserve an M-anything ;-)

Interesting. Not the policy of the dealer here in AZ. Would be curious if its legal to do that. Probably depends on if the purchaser made a "good faith" effort to truly close the deal.

To the OP, hope everything works out. Cool build, great car for an enthusiast. It is just a car though. Are they holding your deposit?

Ha! BMW of Fremont couldn't get me, a guaranteed buyer, an allocation because of you, and I took my business to SoCal (and got a great deal, to boot), so they lost the sale, and now they're stuck with that. Oh, justice is sweet. And to think I was going to pay MSRP, too.

Gotta say though, it's a great dealership otherwise. The BMW genius there let me take out their fully loaded M3 and had me really put the beans to it, and he was super knowledgeable about the car. It was a great experience.

maybe it's better to just flee the country than to try to sell this low optioned car for them that nobody wants.

seriously though, they probably took his deposit and won't give it back to him till he pays or finds someone else to unload the car to.

Of course it's better not to buy something you can't afford. I hope it was something that came up suddenly and wasn't him just jamming the dealer with a very rare build combo. But my rub was that he had the balls to drive the car after he jammed the dealer with it. Takes balls, that's all. I wouldn't show my face on that lot again, let alone sit in the car I built and didn't buy. But that's just me, I was born with way too much of the class/style/grace/tact gene.
