Gap/tyre/wheel/chip + dent insurance

Curious to see if any owners have taken out shortfall type insurance for gap cover, tyre, alloy wheel, scratch and dent cover?

If so, which provider(s) did you go for?

Cheers!

Try Autotrader - much cheaper & better cover than BMW

What are your thoughts?

That's a good price.
I also bought the Tyre insurance from Shortfall.co.uk for £235.00 for 3 years cover. I didn't bother with alloy wheel or dents/scratches insurance.

I think for the extra few pounds shelled out now, the extra vehicle replacement type policy would be worth it. That takes into account price rises in the car i.e. if your (originally brand new) M4 is written off in three years with 45,000 miles on the clock, they will pay the difference on top of your insurance policy to replace it with a brand new M4. It covers the base price hike that will have occurred during that three years.

I think that is what I will go for. I'm considering tyre insurance too. I'd need to get a definitive answer on whether these generic policies from Shortfall, ala etc cover the standard alloys fitted to the M3/4...I've heard they dont.
