Will those winter wheels fit ?

I consider buying winter wheels which sit relatively deeply inside wheel well (to minimize paint damage due to sticking-out tires kicking up all those stones).

I think a standard M235i front offset is: 7,5JX18 ET:45

I am looking at 18 inch-diameter KM11 wheels with those parameters: 8JX18 ET:32

So if I understand offset correctly those KM11 wheels will go inside the wheelwell deeper than stock ones by: 45mm - 32mm + 0.5inch = 25.7mm = 1.01inch

Will KM11s rub suspension elements ?

No inner wheel well clearance issues. I have 8" ET34 all round. Absolutely flush with the body work on my m135i, see photo below. 8" ET32 will protrude further and probably stand proud of body work.

Thanks for the answer. I believe 32mm will not "protrude further" because they will go deeper into the wheel-well by 2mm as this diagram illustrates:

Also I am not sure if your M135i has the same wheel-well clearance parameters as M235i. Maybe the shocks are different due to adaptive suspension ? Anyway the vendor website suggests E32 are compatible, I will email them to confirm and then take my chances.

This image convinced me to get those wheels for my M235i mineral grey:

I like concativity in those wheels and how 3-dimensional they look. Also they are grey to hide brakedust and winter grime better (I got burned on black wheels before: they were showing every speck of dirt). Only 5 spokes means cleaning should be simple and as a bonus BMW's kick-ass blue calipers will be more exposed. I would like the wheels to be more matte though.

Have a look at this post with m235i with winter set of 18" 8" ET 35 cw 225/40/18 all round on stock suspension.

Yr ET32 will poke out further by 1/8" but should still be OK if you use same size tyres as above.

Ok, that looks okay I guess. Does anybody know what spacers Sport Edition KM11 wheels require to be hub-centric ? (I don't want all the weight of the vehicle to be supported by lugs).

You have the offset arithmetic wrong. 32mm will make the wheel stick out 13mm further than the 45mm. Just the opposite of what you were discussing.

Ok, I get it now, you were right, the smaller the offset the more the wheels will stick out (I had it the other way around). Boy, don't I feel like an idiot

Consequently KM1 Sport Edition stick-out too much due to small offset: I have to keep looking for the right (for me) wheels then. Those ones look mighty tasty:
