Michelin PA 4
Tire rack does not have Michelin Alpin PA4 for 225/45/17. So I guess they are out of consideration?
Too bad since the reviews suggest that they are like the PSS in summers. Here in central Arkansas, we don't get much snow but when it does, it's a complete mess. Therefore, I need more performance winter tires rather than the stud less snow and ice.

I am going with the PA4s on 18 inch wheels (staggered set up). Had the PA4s the last two winters and they are so responsive, great in cold and wet weather. Most of winter driving even here in Boston is not on snow. I had month of great fun with the PA4s!
Or get the PA3s which are about the same as the PA4s. It has been offered in 17 inch sizes the last 2 years but is phased out it looks. Discount tire still has the 225s |

Also, it's not just that Tire Rack doesn't have them in 17. They aren't made in 17's and really only are in a limited number of different sizes as tires go. http://www.michelinman.com/tire-sele...ails#techspecs |
