Seeking advice on a CPO purchase

I am looking at a 2011 E90 335i for sale as a BMW dealer CPO.

Their price is not horrible, but I think it is $1000-2000 over optimal.
Conceding that they are adding the 2 year CPO warranty to the car, it's not a horrible deal.

However, my question is for any advice on what to ask them for, if they won't lower the price at all???

Refurbish the wheel rash?? (if they won't credit to price)
Update the NAV maps?
not sure what else to ask for.....

Any advice/suggestions appreciated!!
TIA, Doug

***PS, anyone have a link to the text/actual wording of the original AND/OR the CPO warranties?

Ask for a year or two of the maintenance package. My car came with that....saved me some $$ and all necessary maintenance was done early...GL.

Tell them you'll pay their asking price if they agree to fix anything you feel is wrong with the car and give you a maintenance plan. I think that is a reasonable offer. Ask for copies of all records of all maintenance/repairs already performed on the vehicle.

Spend $100-150 and have the car checked by a REPUTABLE local indie shop. Take the list of repairs with you and see what that indie thinks about it.

http://www.bmwusa.com/standard/conte.../warranty.aspx - Click the small print link about seeing what is not covered.

Good luck. CPO is a must, especially on a 335.

The CPO is great but it is essentially a powertrain warranty. I plan on purchasing a CPO wrap which will upgrade my CPO to a platinum-level extended warranty.

That's far from true, under CPO, I have had coils, carbon walnut blasting, low pressure fuel sensor, and numerous other repairs, it has been a god send.

this is very helpful, thanks.

So a CPO is mainly just "factory warranty type coverage"?

Does the 4yr/50K original warranty INCLUDE MAINTENANCE??

If so, then the CPO will not include maintenance...

Yes, having them add a Maintenance Plan would be great; what are the plans? what do they cost to add usually?

I don't see how that's far from true. It sounds more like your adviser was a "god send".
